The availability of telecommunications equipments in Italy during the World War II was very limited, however , the originality of the solutions adopted and the good design quality has allowed the Italian troops to have, only when was possible, radio equipment that have characteristics comparable if not superior, to those implemented in United States of America. Some original solutions was introduced, after the war in US military radios.
The main Factories involved in the design and production was Allocchio Bacchini and Magneti Marelli, both located in Milan.
